Communication Awards for St John’s

At the first Diocesan Communication Awards ceremony held on Saturday 15th September at St Luke’s Church in Stanmore, St John’s came away with the top award.

In the website category, St John’s website was voted Best Parish Website in the Diocese. The award was presented to our webmaster, Rob Attenborough, by Bishop Michael. The website was particularly commended for its user-friendliness and accessibility features (for example: the use of scalable fonts so that text size can be enlarged).

In the magazine category, our Parish Magazine was narrowly nudged into a commendable third place, and was recognised as “Dynamic”.

These new awards have been designed to recognise the voluntary work which goes on in the parishes to produce effective communication of the life and work of the churches in the Diocese of Winchester.
