St John's Parish Church, New Alresford, Hampshire

Throughout 2004 and into 2005 St John's held a series of talks/workshops on the theme of...

"What is prayer, and how can we develop our prayer life?"

All members of Churches Together in Alresford (CTIA) and the community were invited to journey together during 2004 to follow the main aim of the journey - "The renewal of the spiritual life of the individual and the church, in order to better serve God and the community."

Every first Tuesday of the month there was a talk-workshop given by invited speakers to develop our understanding of different aspects of our prayer lives.

On the preceding Sunday at St. Johns and the fourth Sunday in the month at Ovington there was a sermon introducing the theme of the month, as a preparation for the talk. There was also a follow-up in Sundays at Seven and other services where appropriate.
